OUR ROOMS

Our Rooms

At Brightsparks we consider it very important to work closely with parents.

Before your child starts with us, we will invite you in to complete information sheets with the staff. You and your child are then more than welcome to visit the nursery together until your child is ready to be left. We then offer two weeks settling-in sessions for your child, prior to them starting. This is all free of charge.

We have created nurseries that are brightly decorated, well resourced and allow children to be given time and opportunity to develop as creative, competent learners in a secure and inspiring space, with plenty of access to the outdoors.

At Brightsparks, your child's happiness and well being is at the heart of everything we do, please come and see for yourself!
  • Little Stars

Our home from home Little Stars room allows for our younger children to receive dedicated care. Children can join us from 3 months old. The play rooms are bright and colourful, full of natural and exploration play. We also have separate peaceful sleep rooms where each child has their own named cot to ensure that they get the quality rest that they need during the day.

The Little Stars rooms are fully equipped with their own milk kitchen and changing area ensuring staff ratios are maintained at all times. There is a minimum of one member of staff to three children at any one time.

We are very proud of our specially designed organic baby menu to cater for all the babies' individual needs, including organic homemade weaning food.

We are happy to follow your baby's routine during their time at nursery, and we actively encourage parents to work closely with the nursery nurses during these early months at Brightsparks.

    Shooting Stars

Some time after their first birthday, children move into our Shooting Stars room. This room provides a more structured and busy day, including activities such as art and messy play, sand and water trays, construction toys, music, dance and outdoor fun.

Staff are busy encouraging new skills and language is developed through the use of story time and singing, whilst children also learn through planned topics.

A quiet area is provided with sleep mats for the children to have a good sleep after lunch.

    Bright Stars

In our Bright Stars room children are offered a wide range of activities to stimulate their minds and keep their little bodies active. The day is full of creative and messy activities, construction, role-play, mark making and physical play. A quiet area is provided with sleep mats for the children to have a sleep after lunch.

We have a maximum of sixteen Bright Stars, with a minimum of one member of staff to four children at any one time.

    Super Stars

Around their third birthday, the children progress into Super Stars. Here activities are further extended to develop the seven areas of learning from the Early Years Foundation Stage which is designed to prepare your child for school.

The room is set up using the workshop approach. There are sand and wet play areas, a creative area, a computer table, a book corner, construction, problem solving and drawing tables. Imaginative play is encouraged in the home corner and dressing up area. We have plenty of books in all rooms, and communication, language and literacy are promoted on a daily basis.

The Nursery Education Grant is available for all children the term after their third birthday. The Nursery will inform you when your child is eligible.

    Our Gardens

All our nurseries have large and leafy gardens which have a mixture of grass and all weather playing surfaces. The older children are able to free flow into the garden whenever they want during the morning workshop. The gardens are well equipped and there are plenty of opportunities for the children to play, explore and grow flowers.
